and Arts Festival

About Us

Following the successful inaugural Festival in May 2024 which was attended by well over 400 people, plus passers by, another weekend of music, art and entertainment awaits our audience and supporters, and we are sure you are going to thoroughly enjoy what is on offer.

The Festival takes place in the picturesque setting of Hurley, a Thameside village nestling between Marlow and Henley. Hurley is full of historic buildings with fascinating background stories, and with examples of classic period architecture reaching right back to the 11th century. The Festival events take place in two of the oldest buildings in Hurley; Monks Barn and the priory church of St Mary the Virgin.

The Festival events comprise concerts involving folk band, vocal duets, young soloists and brass quintet. There is also an opportunity for local performers to get involved on Saturday 2nd May in the Barn in an “Open Stage” day – half hour slots to perform, whether as a soloist, duet, group, choir – any genre of music is welcomed. There is also an exhibition space for local artists to demonstrate their talent. Again, any genre is welcomed, and the exhibition will take place throughout the day.

Food and drink will be available throughout the Festival weekend, with a licensed bar available at all concerts, a reception after the Saturday and Sunday evening concerts, coffee, tea and cakes throughout the day on Saturday in the Barn, and food and bar available between the Saturday afternoon and evening events courtesy of the Village Shop.

There is no excuse not to come and enjoy the atmosphere of great performances in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
